Thanks to AS Monaco’s defeat yesterday against Lyon, Paris Saint-Germain are champions of France. A third consecutive title for the Parisians, the 12th in their history. The capital club had an – almost – perfect season under the orders of Luis Enrique for his first year. Obviously, PSG supporters are delighted with this result while waiting for other trophies (Coupe de France, Champions League), even former players like Guillaume Hoarau. The former Parisian striker (2008-2013) commented on this coronation in the columns of The Team.

“This season, there have been some twists and turns but the domination of PSG is important (…) Paris is really far ahead in terms of quality of football. I enjoyed this season because there were a lot of revelations, especially the first of them: Warren Zaire-Emery. I like how Luis Enrique managed his squad, giving playing time to young people like Senny Mayulu or Yoram Zague, which is never easy at PSG. There is less bling-bling”, estimated the former Le Havre resident. Criticized for his choices, Luis Enrique now seems to have won the hearts of supporters. The icing on the cake would be this C1, so dear to Parisians.
