Depending on certain methods and outings that may have made people cringe, Luis Enrique is having a formidable first season on the PSG bench. Having created a strong collective, the Iberian technician cleaned up the competition in Ligue 1. An almost impeccable run with only two defeats which allowed the capital club to seek a twelfth French championship title. In other competitions, everything is going well for Kylian Mbappé’s teammates. Champions League semi-finalists against Borussia Dortmund, the Parisians will face Lyon in the Coupe de France final on May 25. In addition to this brilliant sporting record, Paris Saint-Germain also seems to be evolving in a healthy context this season. While very few controversies have shaken the club, the symbiosis between the team and the supporters seems flawless and everything suggests that it is likely to last. Christophe Dugarry even went further this Monday on the airwaves of RMC.

For the former Blues striker, this 2023-2024 vintage is a turning point in the recent history of PSG: “we must applaud this championship title. Paris deserves it. They dominated the championship, without any equivocation. Afterwards, we can analyze the season too. It’s never all black or all white. There have been some very good Paris Saint-Germain, there have been some less good ones, some not good at all. But I think this season will mark a turning point in the QSI era. Because the leaders finally understood that you could win matches, be spectacular, attract your audience, create a group, an environment, a universe, a club spirit with fewer stars. They certainly found the right coach for them in that regard. We have seen much less of Nasser (Al-Khelaïfi) in the media. He let his group and his coach work. I think things have happened throughout this season and this will be a turning point. There weren’t that many years in the QSI era when there was PSG champion and qualified for a Champions League semi-final. All this at the same time. I think the supporters appreciated this season because they saw a team that emerged. And everyone was calling for it with all their hopes. The supporters, the managers, everyone. (…) And there, they finally found a model that suits them. He is certainly represented by his trainer. He left his mark on this title. Whether we like Luis Enrique or not, he left his mark on this season.»
