Bayern Munich prepared to face Real Madrid in the Champions League by securing an important league victory against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Thomas Tuchel and his players are now focusing on European matters, with their Bundesliga title defense halted by Bayer Leverkusen.

However, before facing Los Blancos, Thomas Tuchel has to deal with the delicate injury situation of several players, and he took no risks against Frankfurt. Jamal Musiala was rested with a tendon problem and French defender Dayot Upamecano was also absent with an ankle problem.

Tuchel’s optimistic prognosis

Upamecano is expected to miss the match against Real Madrid and Musiala is expected to start at 50/50. Leroy Sané and Serge Gnabry were also absent before Carlo Ancelotti’s side arrived in Bavaria and Tuchel gave mixed reports on both players.

“Serge will be available for Tuesday. I think he will play and score. We have to wait and see if he is ready to start or come off the bench,” according to reports from Marca. “ We are assessing Leroy’s situation day by day. It’s a race against time for Tuesday. I can’t make a prediction at the moment.”

With Bayern Munich able to devote all their resources to the Champions League, Real Madrid are closing in on the La Liga title, but Ancelotti’s side need at least five more points to capture the crown Spanish.
