It’s a story that clearly illustrates the ills of football for several years now. The PSG U15 team has been playing in the U15 World Cup in Saint-Pierre, near Nantes, in recent days. This tournament brings together French but also foreign clubs for several days. This year, several well-known clubs were present such as PSG, Troyes, Lorient, Le Havre or even Braga, West Bromwich or PEC Zwolle. But one fact came to taint this tournament. Eliminated by Troyes in the semi-finals, PSG was excluded from the tournament for violence, insults and fights at the end of the match.

Tournament referees refused to officiate the third place match between PSG and PEC Zwolle demanding the exclusion of the capital club. Sources on site explained that the referees had been threatened while PSG complained of having been robbed. The U15 coach also attacked the referee.“The referees felt unsafe after insults and threatening behavior, we always supported them”explained Alain Boye, the director of the Mondial de la Saint-Pierre in the columns of West France. It remains to be seen whether PSG will sanction their team. The tournament was also won by the SCO of Angers.
