Chelsea: Cole Palmer must stay for Zidane

Cole Palmer’s form is in stark contrast to Chelsea’s, but he must not let frustration cloud his judgement, according to Manchester United legend Dwight Yorke.

Palmer has enjoyed unprecedented success since arriving last summer from Manchester City for £40million, matching his former teammate Erling Haaland with a Premier League record of 20 goals and nine assists.

But the Blues failed to surround him and currently find themselves in ninth place, 12 points behind the European places. Interest in the English prodigy is understandably high, but Yorke doesn’t think Palmer would have any interest in jumping ship to Arsenal, or anywhere else.

“There would be no point in Cole Palmer leaving Chelsea for Arsenal because they aren’t winning any trophies either, it wouldn’t make any difference,” he told Crypto Casino. “ He would not go to Liverpool who will be in transition with a new manager and a new team…”

Zidane to Chelsea?

“I advise Palmer to stay at Chelsea. If Zinedine Zidane goes to Chelsea next year and Palmer leaves, it won’t be a good thing for him. Plus, it’s only his first full professional season, let’s see if he can do it over multiple years.” It would take an astronomical offer for Chelsea to part with their best player, who is under contract until 2030 – with a club option for an additional year.

Yorke left Aston Villa for Man Utd for £12.6 million in 1998 and formed a brilliant attacking duo with Andy Cole, winning three Premier Leagues and a Champions League. »I would love Man United to sign him”, did he declare. “ But I don’t think that will be the case because of his connection with Man City, he is too young to handle that. »
