Paris Saint-Germain was excluded from the U15 World Cup at Saint-Pierre, in Nantes, due to the behavior of its players with the referees.

Ugly controversy for the young people of Paris Saint-Germain. Residents of the capital club’s training center were excluded from a tournament organized in Nantes, the Saint-Pierre U15 World Cup, a prestigious youth competition organized since 1978.

The incidents obviously took place during the semi-final between PSG and Troyes, won by Estac. In reaction, the referees decided not to officiate during the match for third place between the Parisians and the Dutch PEC Zwolle, which pushed the organizers to exclude PSG from the tournament.

Insults and threats

“The referees felt unsafe after insults and threatening behavior, specifies Alain Boye, the tournament director, in the columns of Ouest-France. We have always supported them. »

There is therefore an empty line in fourth place in the final ranking of this 24-team international tournament, won this year by Angers, winner of Troyes (1-0) in the final. The women’s edition, which brought together eight teams, was won by the players of FC Nantes, victorious in the final at Stade Brestois (1-1, 4-3 tab).
