It’s not just on the field that Warren Zaire-Emery has the gift of taking things on the wrong foot. On the sidelines of the Lorient reception this Saturday, PSG announced the contract extension of its Parisian titi until 2029. If we were in the mood of the discussions carried out for weeks between the two camps, the timing of the officialization was surprising, although the news will undoubtedly be warmly welcomed by the club’s supporters.

In the wake of the announcement, PSG also published a video of an interview carried out with its player, particularly happy to see the file give rise to this news: “I am very happy and proud to have signed my extension at Paris-Saint-Germain until 2029. It is a huge source of pride for me to continue the adventure with my training club, the one for which I have always wanted playing since I was little. I arrived at the age of eight and I’ve been here for 10 years”first confided the French international.

Quadrupled goal

Having become an indisputable starter under Luis Enrique this season, the 18-year-old midfielder was enthusiastic about the trajectory that the club continues to take, week after week: “the club evolves every year and the more the years go by, the more we become one of the biggest clubs in the world. We have the best young people and we will try to continue from therehe continued, before weaving laurels to the Spanish technician. It’s certain that the coach doesn’t really look at age. What matters to him are performances and training. If you are good, you will play. So even in his way of managing and he knows how to do it well, he gives confidence to everyone and he is just an extraordinary coach.»

A confidence that Zaire-Emery was able to repay to his coach this season. Because if PSG can still dream of a historic quadruple this season, the Parisian titi is no stranger to this success, he who has established himself as a pillar of the midfield. He has dreams too, and they are big, like the slogan of his club: “win all the trophies you can win. And this year, we are lucky to still be in the running in all competitions. And then on a personal level, I want to stay at Paris Saint-Germain as long as possible.”

He wants to end his career at PSG

A local kid, Zaire-Emery has never stopped proclaiming his love for the club of his life, he, the regular and bottle-fed of the Park since he was a child. In recent months, it has even become commonplace to see him shouting PSG chants at the top of his lungs, in chorus with the supporters. Stay in Paris your entire career? It is an objective that the person concerned does not hide. “It’s certain. I have always lived in Paris, my whole family is in Paris, and I feel at home in this club. I feel good here and I hope I will spend my whole career here”he confided.

“Since I was little, with my family, my parents, I have always watched Paris Saint-Germain. It’s a club I wanted to play for when I was little and now for two years… It’s a dream that I’m living with my club. And I hope that it continues as long as possible because it’s really the club that I love and that I want to play for as long as possible.” Obviously, the objective is shared by his club. We would like to rush to the last page of the book, but the story remains to be written for both parties.
