While they had the possibility of wrapping up the suspense for the title, the Parisians were held by Le Havre at home (3-3).

PSG will not celebrate the title of French champion this weekend. In order to be able to uncork the champagne this Saturday, the team from the capital had to take over Le Havre at home. On paper, this seemed to be just a formality, but the truth on the ground turned out to be quite different. Now, Paris may even wait until May 15 to celebrate its 12th title.

Failing to win, Paris however knew how not to lose by coming back two goals at the end of the match. The equalizer came in the 96th minute and was the work of Gonçalo Ramos. The Portuguese avoided a second setback of the season for his team, after the one recorded against Nice last September (2-3). His uncrossed header relieved the Park and its entire team.

PSG has been struggling for a long time

There will therefore be no regrets at the end of this part. While they have only scored 4 goals in their last ten games, the Normans have scored three in a single evening and against the 2e best defense in the championship. And they weren’t hanger-on goals. Nor achievements on counterattacks. The first two goals were the result of well-constructed actions, with a brilliant passing sequence. Christopher Operi opened the scoring with a cross shot in the 19the minute, before André Ayew scored a second with a shot at the edge of the area (38e). In the meantime, Bradley Barcola had equalized for Paris by taking over a serve from Warren-Zaire-Emery, the extended evening (29e).

Seeing his team leading at the break, Luis Enrique launched Kylian Mbappé after returning from the locker room, in addition to Lee Kang-In and Mayulu. The Bondynois’ return to school, however, did not have the desired effect. Certainly, he was able to stand out with an attempt from outside the area but without managing to shake the net.

Le Havre was almost there

Le Havre, for its part, managed to put in a third. Abdoulaye Touré converted a penalty in the 61ste after a foul by Danilo Pereira in the area. At 1-3, and given the face proposed by Paris, we were betting that the HAC would become the second team to win at the Parc this season. This was without counting on the Parisians’ surprise. The reduction of Achraf Hakimi’s score (78e) restored the suspense before Ramos managed to secure a saving equalizer. This is the second time he has saved Paris from a defeat by scoring in stoppage time after having done so against Rennes.

A few weeks ago, Le Havre complained about the fact that Paris had not approached its duel against Clermont, one of its opponents for maintenance, with the best state of mind. Today, Elsner’s men, in turn, took advantage of the fact that the Ile-de-France residents had more of a lead in the C1. But not as much as they hoped.
