After Liverpool’s draw at West Ham this Saturday, which almost deprived the Reds of the title (2-2), the 35th day of the Premier League continued this afternoon. With, as a priority, a match at stake between Manchester United, eager to hold on to Europe, and Burnley, who still has a chance of maintaining their position. The Red Devils were very disappointing at Old Trafford, but thanks to a terrible defensive error, Antony scored his first goal of the season in the PL and thought he would deliver the victory (1-0, 80th). But following an error from Onana, Amdouni equalized for the Clarets (1-1, 87th), who can still believe in maintaining.

Almost condemned for the Championship, Sheffield hoped for a few minutes by quickly opening the score at Newcastle, before quickly sinking and officially signing their descent to the second division after a big score conceded (5-1). The Magpies (7th) remain in the race for Europe, coming within one point of Manchester United. Still at the bottom of the table, Luton (18th) conceded defeat again at Wolves and remains one point behind Nottingham Forest, first non-relegation and who have one more match to play. Finally, in a match without stakes, Fulham (11th) and Crystal Palace (14th) conceded a draw.

The results of the day

  • Manchester United 1-1 Burnley: Antony (80th) / Amdouni (87th)
  • Newcastle United 5-1 Sheffield: Isak (24th, 61st), Guimarães (54th), Osborn (65th, CSC) Wilson (72nd) / Ahmedhodzic (5th)
  • Fulham 1-1 Crystal Palace: Muniz (53rd) / Schlupp (87th)
  • Wolverhampton 2-1 Luton: Hwang (39th), Toti (50th) / Morris (81st)
