Four days before its Champions League semi-final first leg, Borussia Dortmund was not reassured by losing heavily on the lawn of RB Leipzig (4-1).

This Saturday afternoon, RB Leipzig hosted Borussia Dortmund for the 31st day of the Bundesliga. From the twentieth minute of play, Edin Terzic’s men opened the scoring. Totally alone, Jadon Sancho wrapped his ball with his right foot and found the opposite corner. The locals reacted immediately. Xavi Simons sent an outside cross with his full foot, which Loïs Openda cut with the right to equalize (1-1, 23rd).

Initially flagged offside, the goal was then validated by the VAR. In added time of the first half, Marco Rose’s players took the lead on the scoreboard, thanks to a strike from Sesko under the bar (2-1, 45th+3).

Dortmund is not reassured at all before PSG

From the start of the second half, the club founded in 2009 by the Red Bull group took the break. Openda infiltrated the penalty area, found Simakan, who finished with a shot from the right (3-1, 46th). At the end of the match, Baumgartner, found by Henrichs, added to the score (4-1, 80th).

Thanks to this victory, RB Leipzig consolidates its fourth place in the Bundesliga, directly qualifying for the next Champions League. For its part, Dortmund are now five points behind their host of the day.
