A former great OM striker was very complimentary towards the current Juventus center forward.
Former Juventus player Alen Boksic is convinced by Dusan Vlahovic’s potential. He sees him progressing to become one of the best in the world at his position in the years to come.
Vlahovic, a reference to his position
Despite the rivalry that exists between Serbs and Croats, Boksic said a lot of good things about Vlahovic. To La Gazzetta dello Sport, he confided: “He is an excellent striker who is only 24 years old. He showed quality between Fiorentina and Juve. Dusan can become a great player like Haaland. But I don’t like comparisons. And anyway, it’s more difficult for a center forward to score in Italy than in England.” Boksic knows what he is talking about, having played at Lazio and Juventus.
For the 1993 European champion, Vlahovic is not really helped within the current team of the Old Lady. “An attacker always depends on the teammates he has behind him. I was lucky. I turned around and I saw Zidane, Jugovic, Deschamps, Conte… And next to me, I had Del Piero or Vieri. Dusan plays in a Juve that is more wait-and-see and has difficulty creating play.”
This season, Vlahovic has totaled 17 goals and 4 assists offered in 32 matches, in all competitions. He is by far the most decisive element of the Bianconeri ahead of Weston McKennie (10 assists). Paris would have recently shown an interest in him, but he does not seem very keen to join the French capital.
