The club from the French capital are said to have their sights set on a talented English defender.

Paris Saint-Germain is currently prospecting in England, with the objective of strengthening its defense. And perhaps also offer a replacement for the very fragile Nuno Mendes.

The French giant is reportedly seriously interested in signing Leo Colwill, the promising Chelsea full-back. This is what journalist Ben Jacobs reports from CBS. He is a 21-year-old who can play equally well as a left-back or central defender.

Paris would rival Tottenham

This transfer is entirely feasible because Chelsea want to get rid of as many young players as possible to obtain transfer funds. Given how the FFP works, the London club can spend more if it manages to exfiltrate young people from its center.

Besides Colwill, Chelsea could also be ready to sell Conor Gallagher, Armando Broja and Ian Maatsen. Note, however, that in the case of Colwill, Paris is not the only club to be ready to go on the offensive. This is also the case for Tottenham’s English neighbor.
