Even before the opening of the summer transfer window, Paris sold one of its offensive players.

Paris SG has already started its summer maneuvers. The capital club has just announced the departure of one of the elements of its offensive sector. An element on which Luis Enrique, the team coach, absolutely does not count.

The player in question is Hugo Ekitiké. Loaned to Eintracht Frankfurt since last winter, the former Reims player has just been transferred permanently. The German club having exercised the purchase option available to it.

PSG recovers 16 million euros in the case

The choice is somewhat surprising because Ekitiké has not really established itself on the Commerzbank Arena side. He only started three times (12 matches played in total), and scored just one goal and offered just one assist. Despite this, the Europa League winners saw fit to pay €16m for his services. The contract duration is five years.

For Paris, this is clearly a good deal. Arriving at the club in the summer of 2022, the slender attacker has never established himself at the Parc des Princes. After some disappointing performances, he even found himself away from the pro team after refusing a transfer (to Crystal Palace). A situation that he had experienced very badly and he had not failed to complain about it.
