PSG: Sergio Rico is soon getting closer to a return

Seriously injured almost a year ago following a fall from horseback, the news is encouraging for Sergio Rico with a view to a return to training. The PSG goalkeeper underwent medical examinations which proved reassuring according to The Parisian. He is now awaiting approval from the French authorities to resume his professional activities.

As a reminder, Sergio Rico suffered serious head trauma during this accident which occurred on May 28, 2023 in the Seville region, Spain. He was put in a coma and spent 82 days in hospital. After this period, he took some rest. The 30-year-old goalkeeper had set himself the goal of returning to training with PSG before the end of the 2023-2024 season. Subsequently, he will be at the end of his contract with the Parisian club.
