Bradley Barcola was one of PSG’s decisive men during their qualification for the Champions League semi-finals last week. Starting in this return match against Barça, the former Lyonnais was at the origin of the action which changed everything in this meeting, the one leading to Ronald Araujo’s red card. On a long ball from Nuno Mendes, the striker got ahead of everyone and decided to get in the way of his opponent’s race to obtain the choice of the fatal foul, or the duel against Ter Stegen.

“I knew he was going very fast, Araujorewinds Barcola in an interview given to RMC Sport. With this action, I told myself that I was going to pass in front of him. Because in the first leg, I had a somewhat similar action, but I didn’t get ahead well. So he had caught up with me. There, I told myself that I was going to pass directly in front of him and I knew that there was nothing he could do. Either he made a mistake or I played one on one.” The Uruguayan finally conceded the free kick and left his partners at ten, plunging his team towards elimination.
