Amazing this season with Manchester City, Phil Foden scored twice in a 4-0 victory at Brighton on Thursday evening, Pep Guardiola’s team coming back to within one point of leader Arsenal with a game in hand.

In the absence of Erling Haaland, Manchester City had no problem winning in the den of Brighton, with a clear score of 4-0, Thursday evening, in a match postponed from the 29th day of the Premier League. A success which allows the reigning English champion to come back to within one point of Arsenal, the leader in the standings. However, Pep Guardiola’s team has one game less (which it will play against Tottenham five days before the final day).

The Cityzens’ two other attacking cracks made the difference to make the score 3-0 at half-time at the Amex Stadium. Kevin De Bruyne first opened the scoring with a header (17th). Above all, Phil Foden continued his XXL season by scoring a double (26th and 34th), being merciless at the finish. He has 24 goals and 10 assists in all competitions this season and he has even scored 15 times in 2024. The 23-year-old left-hander could well offer his team the title…

Jérémy Doku and Jack Grealish were thrown into the game without managing to add to the score.

The title race continues this weekend with the 35th day (out of 38). Liverpool travel to West Ham while their defeat against Everton (2-0) on Wednesday leaves them three points behind Arsenal. The Gunners play a terrible North London Derby on Sunday (3 p.m.) against Tottenham, in the den of Spurs, while Man City will travel immediately (5:30 p.m.) to Nottingham, the 17th in PL…
