Between RB Leipzig and Xavi Simons, the love story began last summer. Coming out of a more than successful loan from PSV Eindhoven, the 21-year-old attacking midfielder was repatriated by PSG before being sent on loan to Germany. Based on the player’s performance, it is clear that everyone benefited from this transaction. Performing well, the Dutch international is having a blast to the delight of the Saxon club and his Parisian counterpart, who sees the possibility of recovering his prodigy as a blessing to compensate for the future departure of Kylian Mbappé at the end of the season. However, his coach Marco Rose cannot imagine parting ways with his protégé, the true centerpiece of his squad (9 goals and 12 assists in 39 matches including 37 starts in all competitions).

While Xavi Simons’ loan to Leipzig comes to an end in a few weeks, the German coach is banking on affect to keep the Batavian for another season. “Xavi gives the impression that he feels comfortable here, that he is developing well and that it is a good environment for him overall. That’s why I’m still very confident about seeing him with us next year. He will also be a very important factor for me next year.said the manager of the residents of the Red Bull Arena during an interview with Sky Sports.
