Traveling to Moustoir, PSG managed to win without too much difficulty (4-1) and thus move closer to the title of champion of France.

PSG are virtual champions of France. Luis Enrique’s team did its part during its visit to Lorient this Wednesday evening by winning 4 to 1. A non-success for Monaco, in the evening against Lille, and the Ile-de-France residents will be able to celebrate their title of champion of France.

Dembélé and Mbappé put on the show

At Moustoir, and as one might expect, the Parisians did not have too much difficulty in imposing their superiority. The difference on the scoreboard was made quite quickly. At the 19e, Ousmane Dembélé broke the deadlock. The former Barcelona player made the difference with a low shot from the left, following a serve from young Senny Mayulu.

Dembélé was not satisfied with a goal in this game. In the second half, he once again shook the opposing nets (60e). This time, it was by taking advantage of a decisive pass from Kylian Mbappé. The latter indeed showed altruism by doing all the work on the left side, before serving his teammate on a plate.

Before his “assist”, Mbappé had scored himself. At the 22e minute, he found himself in the right place to exploit a ball from Nuno Mendes. It was his 25e goal of the season and a 26e followed in the final moments of the game on his special. There could even have been 27 if Yvon Mvogo had not intervened with his heavy shot.

Late wake-up call from Lorient

This saved opportunity had preceded the reduction of Lorient’s score. At 73e, and while he was completely transparent until then, Muhammad Bamba deceived Gianluigi Donnarumma with a header. The Italian had until then had nothing to do, except a huge rescue at the 30e minute on a powerful header from Tiémoué Bakayoko.

Despite a less controlled end to the match, Paris managed to win and move a little closer to the title of French champion. Mbappé and his teammates will know if they are crowned for the 12the time in their history this Wednesday evening on the plane back to the capital.
