Two Premier League players arrested for rape

Another dark affair in football? As indicated by several English media such as The Sun, two Premier League players have been arrested by English police following a rape accusation. The names of the two players have not been revealed, but the events allegedly took place last Friday evening.

The defendants, both aged 19, were questioned, arrested, then released over the weekend pending trial. The police even showed up at the stadium to question one of the two accused. The club in which the two players play – also publicly unknown – did not want to make any statements.
