Despite an honorable sixth place in the first part of the table, the Racing Club de Lens must face many upheavals during this 2023-24 season. Less than a year after a historic campaign concluded with a runner-up place behind Paris Saint-Germain, the Artesian club is plunged into a turbulent climate, behind the scenes as well as in the stands.
After an experience in the Champions League, Lens had to re-mobilize in Ligue 1. But the key players in the squad have experienced varying fortunes, like Elye Wahi. Arriving in the 2023 offseason to replace Loïs Openda, the French Espoir international has been through all the states this season.

Author of great flashes on the European scene, Elye Wahi has only scored 7 goals in Ligue 1.
