Liverpool coach Jürgen Klopp sees an element of his squad joining the infirmary, a few days before the end of the season.

Diogo Jota is not at the end of his troubles at Liverpool. Absent since February 18 due to a torn lateral knee ligament, and just returned during the defeat against Crystal Palace (0-1) on April 14, the Portuguese will have to be absent again.

Victim of a hip injury during the match against Fulham (1-3) last Sunday in the Premier League, the 27-year-old left winger will be unavailable for two weeks, according to his coach Jürgen Klopp.

A crucial final sprint

This new injury further weighs down Jota’s season, who will miss the next three matches of the Reds. Trips to Everton and West Ham on April 24 and 27, as well as the Tottenham reception at Anfield on May 5.

These three matches promise to be crucial for Liverpool in the title race. It is therefore a hard blow for Klopp’s team, which enters the final sprint of the season neck and neck with Arsenal, tied with 74 points. They are closely followed by Manchester City, third with 73 points and a game in hand.
