Manchester United are already preparing for the future without Erik Ten Hag, and could call on a former Chelsea coach to replace him.

The future of Erik Ten Hag as manager of Manchester United seems to be dotted. While the Red Devils qualified for the FA Cup final against Coventry (3-3, 4-2 tab) last Sunday, the future of the Dutch coach at MU appears to be compromised.

The legend of English football Alan Shearer also claimed that the former Ajax Amsterdam manager would be sacked, even in the event of a victory against Manchester City on May 25. According to certain sources, Mancunian leaders have already ticked off a name to replace him: Thomas Tuchel. The German coach, who has already announced his departure from Bayern Munich at the end of the season, has already started talks with United, according to Kicker.

A familiar Premier League profile

Sports Zone specifies that the former coach of Paris Saint-Germain authorized his agents to enter into negotiations with the English club. Another source also assures that part of INEOS, the club’s co-owner, is in favor of Tuchel’s arrival at Old Trafford.

The 50-year-old coach is, for his part, familiar with the English championship after his experience at Chelsea between 2020 and 2023. With the Blues, Tuchel won the Champions League (2021) and a world club championship title. FIFA (2022).
