Another complicated season for FC Barcelona. The Catalans said goodbye to the Champions League and the few options they still had in La Liga in the space of just a few days. And summer is likely to be lively. First there is the Xavi file to settle. The coach who nevertheless announced his future departure could ultimately decide to stay. If he ultimately stuck to his initial choice, a replacement would have to be found. Then, there will also be changes in the squad during the transfer window.

And the financial situation of the Catalan club could thus push the managers to sell several major players. If the nuggets Cubarsi, Yamal or even Pedri and Gavi are untouchable, other relatively important elements could be pushed towards the door in the event of a good proposal. This is the case of Raphinha for example, coveted in England and Saudi Arabia. Once considered essential, Ronald Araujo would also be on the market now, especially after his expulsion against Paris which created a lot of doubts around him internally. Finally, Frenkie de Jong is also part of this category.

An affordable price

The media Relevo says a little more. In particular, we learn that Bayern Munich recently came to the news for the Dutch midfielder, out for the rest of the season following an ankle injury. A Bavarian interest that the Barcelona leaders view favorably, since they would rather be interested in a good sale. Still according to the media, a price of 60 to 70 million euros could be enough to convince the Catalan staff to give the green light for the departure of the former Ajax player to Munich.

The problem in this story is above all the fact that the player does not really want to leave Catalonia. Very comfortable in both his professional and personal life, the 26-year-old has already refused offers in the past and could well do the same this summer. Arriving at Barça in 2019 for around 85 million euros, the Dutchman has not yet completely convinced everyone on the other side of the Pyrenees. Not helped by physical problems, it must be said, he is struggling to reach a final level which could make him a real star. To be continued…
