Continuation of the 33rd day of Serie A this Sunday afternoon. The Salernitana club hosted Fiorentina on its pitch at the Stadio Arechi. This meeting was an opportunity for the visitors to begin accelerating in the race for Europe, while Vincenzo Italiano’s men hope to pocket a ticket for the C3 or C4. The first period was fairly shared between the two Italian teams, although the pace was quite low despite a few opportunities on the Viola side, without being very dangerous. It wasn’t much better in the second act but Christian Kouamé saved the Tuscans by scoring the first goal of the match, before Jonathan Ikoné doubled the lead (90th+5) to seal the success (0-2).
