Loaned with an option to purchase by OM to Lazio, Mattéo Guendouzi should be permanently recruited by the Laziale club.
What fate for Mattéo Guendouzi? Loaned this season by OM to Lazio, the former Gunner should be transferred permanently to the Italian capital at the end of the season, according to RMC. But there are two conditions for this to happen.
First of all, the Roman club Lazio must finish in the top ten of Serie A. For the moment, the team coached by former OM boss Igor Tudor is 7th in its championship with nine points ahead of Monza, 11th. With five days remaining, Lazio therefore has a good chance of achieving this first condition.
€13M for Guendouzi
The other condition would be that Lazio wins the Italian Cup and therefore qualifies for a European competition. Lazio is off to a bad start but is still in the race for this trophy, with a semi-final return to be played this Tuesday in Rome against Juventus, after the first leg defeat in Turin (2-0).
If one of these two conditions is activated, Mattéo Guendouzi will permanently join the Biancocelesti, he who arrived in Rome on loan at the end of the summer window. As part of the purchase option, Lazio would then have to pay Marseille 13 million euros and up to five million euros in bonuses, depending on several performance variables.
