AS Roma: the latest revelations on the state of health of Evan Ndicka

The news goes in the same direction, and it is rather reassuring for Evan Ndicka. After collapsing during the Serie A match between Udinese and AS Roma this Sunday, finally stopped, the Ivorian international (6 caps) was transported to hospital, holding his chest at the time of leave the lawn on a stretcher. A situation as unprecedented as it is worrying.

“Following pain felt on the pitch by Evan Ndicka, the Udinese-Roma match was suspended. The player is conscious and was taken to hospital for checks. Forza Evan, we are all with you”, had notably written the Roman club on its official X account a few minutes after the incident. Since then, the football world has been waiting for news from the 24-year-old defender and according to the latest information from the transalpine press, the latter has not suffered a heart attack.

The possibility of a heart attack ruled out!

Hospital examinations have, in fact, ruled out this hypothesis while Sky Sports Italy specifies, moreover, that Ndicka is conscious but will still remain under observation for the next few hours, and should undergo further examinations. Currently, the AS Roma group is in the hospital to support their protégé. At the same time, the general director of the Roman club, Lina Souloukou, and certain members of the Giallorossi had the opportunity to speak with him, reassuring themselves about his current state.

A distressing news which, in any case, did not fail to make the world of football react. Quickly, many Serie A clubs gave their support to the Roman player. “Come on Evan, we’re here for you”indicated Lazio in particular, logically forgetting the historical rivalry. “Be strong, Evan! We are all with you”for its part communicated AC Milan while Torino also sent its message of support: “Come on Ndicka, we are with you!”.

A welcome mobilization for the residents of the Stadio Olimpico, at the bedside of their protégé. AS Roma even posted a photo of their player, smiling from his hospital bed. Author of 2 assists in 27 matches in all competitions since the start of the season, Evan Ndicka, under contract until June 2028, now seems in a stable condition. Enough to dispel the initial worry…
