The Little Prince of Marseille, Samir Nasri, was over the moon after his favorite team's victory against Benfica in the Europa League.
Six years later, Olympique de Marseille returns to the last four of the Europa League. The Marseille team managed to turn things around against Benfica by winning at the Vélodrome after losing in Lisbon (1-0 aptb 4-2).
This qualification brought great pleasure to the players, the supporters and also the legends of the club. Samir Nasri, who commented on this match for Canal+, was particularly on cloud nine at the end of the game. “I am very happy and very proud. There was surpassing of the self. The team ended up on the back foot, but the players found the necessary resources to win on penalties. I'm happy for them, they deserve it. The atmosphere is fantastic too.”

Nasri also took his hat off to the last Marseille penalty taker, the Brazilian Luis Henrique. “I found it very good. He brought verticality to the game and that allowed OM to play higher. And the penalty was taken very well.”
The former French international explains this victory by the fact that there is a special link between Marseille and the European Cup. “The players, the leaders of this group realized that that was all they had left. At OM, there is a special history with Europe. And they know that in Europe, no matter what happens in the league, something can happen and tonight's game continued to tell that great story.”
In the semi-finals, Marseille will face Atalanta Bergamo, who have just defeated Liverpool (3-0, 0-1). The outward journey will take place at the Vélodrome and the return to Italy. The other half will pit AS Roma against Bayer Leverkusen.
