Nice and Lorient face each other for the 30th day of Ligue 1, this Friday (9 p.m.). Here is the expected line-up for the Riviera club.

In free fall since the start of 2024, OGC Nice is in fifth place in Ligue 1 after having long followed Paris Saint-Germain at the top of the ranking. The Aiglons are therefore obliged to react to save the furniture in this final sprint.

It starts with a success against Lorient this Friday evening. “Lorient is a team which, in the return phase, made a significant change of pace, warned Francesco Farioli. They have had a long run of good results. It’s a team that has excellent organization. A team that manages to combine two very distinct phases without the ball: one based on very high pressing, the other on waiting. It is one of the teams, with Paris, which is the most efficient: it scores more goals than it creates chances. All the credit goes to their players, to the situations they manage to generate thanks to their style of play.”

An important return to Nice?

With which eleven will the Gym challenge this poorly ranked opponent? The good news concerns Youssouf Ndayishimiye, who is on his way back. “ He resumed this week with the team. He needs to get back to peak physical condition, but he could be in the mix“, explained Farioli about his midfielder. Enough to be a holder? Answer this Friday evening.

For the rest, Nice, which only deplores the absences of Diop and Rosier, will be able to rely on its strengths. Bulka is expected in goal, as is the Dante-Todibo hinge. Thuram or Sanson should start in a midfield which will support an explosive attack with the possible presence of Boga, Moffi and Cho.

The expected line-up for Nice : Bulka – Bard, Dante, Todibo, Lotomba – Thuram, Ndayishimiye, Sanson – Boga, Moffi, Cho.
