The general director of AC Milan, Giorgio Furlani, took stock of the future of several players including the three French internationals Mike Maignan, Théo Hernandez and Olivier Giroud.

End of suspense for Mike Maignan and Théo Hernandez. Despite the departure rumors circulating about them for several weeks, the goalkeeper and the French left-back are not expected to leave AC Milan during the next summer transfer window. In any case, this is what the general director of the Italian club, Giorgio Furlani, suggested at the microphone of DAZN.

According to him, the two French internationals, under contract until 2026, and Rafael Leao, linked to the Rossoneri for two more years, are non-transferable. “Théo, Leao and Maignan are happy to stay at Milan and they all have long-term contracts here”affirmed the manager, specifying that the financial health of the ACM allowed it to keep its best elements.

For Giroud, it remains unclear

“We don’t need to sell any players this summer. We can invest without selling the best players”, he assured. This is bad for PSG, a club where Mike Maignan and Rafael Leao were able to be announced, but also for Bayern Munich, which had the ambition to poach Théo Hernandez and was ready to offer between 60 and 70 million to AC Milan.

Concerning Olivier Giroud, who will be free at the end of the season and could join his friend Hugo Lloris at Los Angeles FC, Giorgio Furlani was less optimistic. “He has made Milan history and continues to play at a high level. We will see what he decides at the end of the season.” The ball is now in the Blues striker's court.
