The management of William Saliba in the French team is surprising. Unsinkable in the Premier League in an Arsenal of which he is the defensive captain at only 23 years old, the player trained at ASSE does not start with the Blues. A replacement status which is all the more questionable since the native of Bondy did not even come into play this Saturday during France's defeat against Germany in Lyon. Favoring a Pavard-Upamecano hinge during this last meeting, Didier Deschamps was questioned about his management of the Gunners defender this Monday at a press conference.

And for the French coach, his reduced playing time with the Blues leads him to make certain mistakes: “he's having a good season. He also does things that I don't like as much. In the French team, he had reduced playing time, but when he played it didn't necessarily go well. The hierarchy is not favorable to him at the moment. But he is there. Dayot (Upamecano) had some playing time which perhaps William had less. On certain players, I make sure to insist, because it could be confidence or small blockages that can change. Some people don't have this problem, others take a little while. William had reduced playing time, so that doesn't mean having much peace of mind.»
