The French team's post-match evening would have degenerated for three players of Didier Deschamps, the police being forced to intervene at the Blues hotel.
The France team did not shine for its last gathering before the start of the Euro. Last Saturday, the Blues were completely foiled against Germany, starting 2024 with an ugly defeat on the pitch at Parc OL (0-2), Didier Deschamps' players hardly seeming concerned by this friendly match.
Three days later, the world vice-champions recovered somewhat against Chile, winning 3-2 despite the visitors' early opening. The performance of the Blues was no less ordinary. According to Romain Molina, certain players from the French team nevertheless particularly celebrated this victory.
The police had to intervene
Three Blues apparently drank more than was reasonable, invited girls to a hotel in the Marseille city and also breathed balloons of nitrous oxide. “There was a party that overflowed… Alcohol galore and these famous balloons (nitrogen) galore,” he said in a video published on his YouTube channel.
But the evening was far too eventful for the tastes of the other guests of the Sofitel hotel. Some complained to the employees present and the police finally had to intervene, particularly after the discomfort of one of the participants in this evening.
Shortly before, Didier Deschamps had confronted his players with their responsibilities. “You have an end to the season which can be very busy, be careful. You both have deadlines and goals to achieve. There will be a need at the end of May or beginning of June for all the necessary freshness physically and psychologically too,” he said as a conclusion to this course.
