Gabriel Moscardo sees the end of the tunnel. Recruited by Paris Saint-Germain last winter in exchange for €22 million, including bonus, the young 18-year-old Brazilian defensive midfielder experienced a big setback. The fault was a problem discovered with his left foot, before his transfer to the Rouge et Bleu was made official. A physical problem requiring an operation (and a three-month break) which dragged out negotiations between Paris and the Corinthians.
In the end, Moscardo signed with PSG and the capital club immediately loaned him to Timão. The Parisians' objective was clear: let the Brazilian recover with his family and have him quietly resume competition with his original club before his arrival in Europe next July. Last month, the news concerning him was rather good. After treatment at the Aspetar Medical Center in Qatar, Moscardo was walking without restriction on his operated foot and a return to training was planned for early March.
