This Saturday evening, the France team is playing its first match of this international break. The Blues host Germany at Groupama Stadium with the aim of refining certain aspects of their game in preparation for Euro 2024 this summer.
Questioned by the German press on the eve of the match, Raymond Domenech was not kind to a defender of the France team. The former coach of the Tricolores and consultant for the Équipe channel did not hesitate to criticize Bayern Munich defender Dayot Upamecano.
“Upamecano is like the current German national team. You never know what performance to expect from him: sometimes he is good, sometimes less good, and sometimes bad. He has the German “disease”. He had a good phase at times. But he’s not playing consistently well,” he told the German media TZ.

Upamecano starting this Saturday against Germany?
Despite his poor form with Bayern Munich, Dayot Upamecano retains the confidence of Didier Deschamps and should even start the match against the Germans this Saturday. He could be aligned in central defense alongside Benjamin Pavard who for his part has been showing good things for several weeks at Inter Milan.
