This is an announcement that should be strange to German supporters and major jersey collectors. This Thursday, in an official press release, the German Football Federation announced the end of its collaboration with Adidas.

Indeed, Germany and the brand with the three stripes will no longer work together from 2027. Adidas has established itself as the equipment supplier for the German selections for more than 70 years.

From now on, the Nationalmannschaft will have the Nike logo on its next tunics from the year 2027. We can only say that it is a small earthquake within the football industry.

“We are delighted with the collaboration with Nike and the trust placed in us. The future partnership will enable the DFB to continue to assume central tasks for the overall development of football in Germany over the next decade.said DFB President Bernd Neuendorf in a statement.

And to continue: “Until December 2026, we will work with all our strength for joint success with our current and long-standing partner Adidas, to whom German football owes a lot after more than seven decades”

The last European Championship with Adidas for Germany

Thunderbolt! After more than 70 years of collaboration, all German football teams will be sponsored by Nike and not Adidas. The Nationalmannschaft is therefore playing its last European Championship with an Adidas tunic.

If qualified for the 2026 World Cup, it would also be the last World Cup with a jersey featuring the three stripes. A page is therefore about to be turned in Germany.
