The semi-finals of the Euro 2024 qualifying play-offs delivered their verdict this Thursday evening.
Poland and Wales were a hit on this occasion, respectively executioners of Estonia (5-1) and Finland (4-1). The two nations will meet on Tuesday in Cardiff to validate their place at the Euro this summer, in the group of France, the Netherlands and Austria.
After Georgia victorious over Luxembourg earlier in the evening (2-0), Greece also obtained its ticket for a play-off final by outclassing Kazakhstan (5-0). The Greeks will therefore go to Tbilisi on Tuesday to do battle with their Georgian counterparts and join Portugal, Turkey and the Czech Republic at the Euro.
Ukraine still in the race
The last four-way qualifying tournament for the European Nations Championship this summer in Germany saw Iceland and Ukraine win their respective semi-finals this Thursday evening at the expense of Israel (1-4) and Bosnia (1 -2). Icelanders and Ukrainians will face each other on Tuesday in Wroclaw, Poland. At stake is a place in the group of Belgium, Slovakia and Romania.
