Manchester United would like to part ways with Casemiro next summer. The club has already targeted a player to replace him.

After wearing the Real Madrid jersey for nine seasons, Casemiro has decided to take charge of Manchester United in the summer of 2022. But what followed was not at the same level and almost two years later, the Red Devils are considering parting ways with it.

The latter would be called Joao Gomes. The Wolverhampton player would therefore be under the close surveillance of United.

Still hurt

Interviewed on the Geraint Thomas podcast this week, new shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe suggested that his club would now look to do good deals and sign players without spending all the money. For Gomes, however, he could have to put up a few million since Manchester United are not the only ones on the scene. Tottenham and Newcastle are also on the case, explained the Dailymail.

You will then have to find an exit door in Casemiro. Aged thirty-one, the Brazilian remains under contract with United until June 2025. This season, the player's statistics are not so bad, with five goals and two assists in twenty-one matches played. . But his physique betrayed him again recently and he was withdrawn last Sunday during the FA Cup quarter-final clash won by his team against Liverpool.
