In an interview given to the German media Ranthe honorary president of Bayern Munich, Uli Hoeness, spoke about the future coach of the Munich team. “I agree with you that it is not a good sign when a club like Bayern Munich changes coaches quite often, because it does not necessarily mean continuity”, first launched the person concerned. As a reminder, at the end of the season, Thomas Tuchel will leave the Bavarian ship. With this in mind, the leaders of the current second in the Bundesliga are working on the succession of the former Parisian coach. With this in mind, one name comes up insistently: that of Xabi Alonso, today on the bench of Bayer Leverkusen and solid leader of the German championship. And for the first time, a Bayern official has publicly confirmed an interest in signing the former Madrid midfielder. According to him, “clubs like Liverpool, Real Madrid, Leverkusen and Bayern are working” currently for Xabi Alonso to be their coach next season. According to Hoeness, the former midfielder has, in fact, “proven” that he was ready to lead a very big club.

Furthermore, the German leader conceded that the succession of Thomas Tuchel remained a complex subject with regard to the market. “There is hardly a coach who is free at the moment. Rather, they are coaches who are under contract somewhere and who can be very successful. So it's not so easy to tell them that FC Bayern is the measure of everything.”. To conclude, Uli Hoeness also wanted to definitively put an end to the Sebastian Hoeneß rumor, recently extended by VfB Stuttgart. “In my opinion, he has the disadvantage of being called Hoeneß at the moment. Because if he wasn't called Hoeneß with the same performance, we probably would have tried harder for him than we have so far. Sebastian delivered a performance I wouldn't have thought possible. I always knew he was a great coach and I saw him in our second team. He also trained and worked well at Hoffenheim, but at his young age he is playing football at Stuttgart which is simply inspiring., admitted the honorary president. It now remains to convince Xabi Alonso to join the Rekordmeister.
