By joining Lazio, Igor Tudor returned to action after his time at OM last season. The Croatian coach will therefore reunite with Mattéo Guendouzi, his former player from Marseille, with whom relations were sometimes tumultuous. The French international had lost his starting status under the orders of Igor Tudor. The midfielder had tackled him on his positioning at the end of the championship. Now in Rome, the technician sent a message to his new player, who has become an essential element at Lazio.

“I haven't seen Mattéo yet, but he's a winner, he has this extraordinary mentality that we need in a club like this, especially in a city like Rome which is very demanding”, he told Lazio television this morning. Called at the last minute by Didier Deschamp to compensate for the absence of Antoine Griezmann, Mattéo Guendouzi will only experience his first training sessions with his new coach next week in preparation for the match against Juventus on March 30.
