Mickaël Landreau is not fully convinced by the return of Antoine Kombouaré to FC Nantes to replace Jocelyn Gourvennec.

FC Nantes only has eight matches left to save itself. Beaten this weekend by Strasbourg in a duel of poorly ranked players, the club is now in the play-off with two steps ahead of Metz, 17th. A worrying situation which convinced Waldemar Kita to part ways with Jocelyn Gourvennec, who arrived this fall to replace Pierre Aristouy, and to recall Antoine Kombouaré, who was able to save the club after the Domenech experience.

A great connoisseur of the yellow house, Mickael Landreau nevertheless has serious reservations. “I think it’s 50-50. Through his experience and his character, Antoine can have this grip to live this maintenance. But on the other hand, he was there a year ago and it was because of the players that he didn't stay. I don't know how things will be redefined in the group, if he will change captain or not… But he is someone who knows the club and how it works. Let’s hope that this will allow Nantes to get out of this”he confided to the microphone of Canal+.
