Bernardo Silva has announced where he would like to play in the future.
An essential pawn in Pep Guardiola's system at Manchester City, Bernardo Silva could look elsewhere next summer. Announced in the sights of Paris Saint-Germain and even FC Barcelona, the Portuguese extended his lease last summer with the Citizens until June 2026, including a release clause worth 60 million euros.
For his part, the 29-year-old attacking midfielder already has an idea of the club where he wants to play in the future. During an interview given to the show SIC Onlinethe former Monegasque announced that he would like to return to Benfica.
“It’s a career and life goal”
“I'm sure I'll come back to Benfica. It’s a career and life goal”, confided the Lusitanian international (87 caps, 11 goals). But before returning to the Portuguese capital, the winner of the last Champions League could be tempted by another challenge. It is said, in fact, that the player would not be insensitive to the interest of PSG.
As a reminder, Bernardo Silva arrived at Benfica at the age of 8. Eleven years later, he made his professional debut with his favorite club but after only three games he was transferred to Monaco in 2014 for around 16 million euros.
