the Niçois won (1-3) on the pitch of RC Lens, this Saturday evening in Ligue 1. The Riviera club, after a series of negative results, is thus actively returning to the race for European places.

The Racing Club de Lens hosted OGC Nice on the 26th day of Ligue 1. The Aiglons, stuck in a negative spiral for several weeks, began the match with a bang. Following a ball from Medina, Cho recovered the ball then offered caviar to Moffi. The Nigerian striker just had to push the ball into the back of the net to cool Bollaert (0-1, 11th).

Half an hour into the game, Sanson was forced to leave his partners due to a muscle injury, giving way to young Louchet. Just before half-time, Pereira da Costa was very close to equalizing in favor of the Sang et Or. His curling shot from the left narrowly missed the target of Bulka (45th).

A double for Moffi

At the break, Khusanov took the place of Gradit, who suffered a slight calf injury. Franck Haise’s men equalized through Wahi but this goal was logically refused for an offside position (53rd). In the process, Khéphren Thuram crucified Samba with a low shot (0-2, 55th). Following a foul by Khusanov on Rosario, the referee pointed to the penalty spot. Moffi did not tremble to take Samba on the wrong foot and worsen the score (0-3, 67th). Wahi managed to reduce the score, with a powerful left shot finishing in Bulka’s top corner (1-3, 76th). The Lensois then believed in a possible comeback and kept pushing. In vain.

Thanks to this victory, the Niçois put an end to their bad dynamic. In Ligue 1, they had not won a single match since January 27, in Metz. Francesco Farioli’s players move up to fourth place in the standings. As for the Sang et Or, who could have returned to the podium in the event of victory, they slipped to sixth place.
