Coventry created a great sensation on Saturday in the quarter-final of the FA Cup, electrifying in added time of the match played in Wolverhampton.

The football we love. The Coupe de France does not have the exclusivity of surprises and a rather big one came on Saturday from Wolverhampton. On the pitch of the Premier League residents, Coventry obtained their ticket for the semi-finals of the FA Cup after an improbable scenario. THE Petit Poucet of the competition won 3-2 by scoring the two decisive goals in added time of the second half (90th + 7, 90th + 10).

This defeat conceded in front of the 8th in the Championship (English D2) is all the more cruel for the Wolves as they believed, like many, to definitively reach the opponent’s morale by leading the score thanks to two goals scored in a few minutes (2- 1, 83rd, 88th). Coventry return to the final four of the Cup for the first time since 1987 and Ellis Simms, scorer of a double, becomes the competition’s top scorer with seven goals now.
