A terrible setback for a raw talent that still has room for improvement and is reaching the end of his contract next June.
“A great mark of confidence”
His career could thus have ended there, cut short in full swing; and yet OM decided to give the native of Nice a chance. Pablo Longoria has chosen to extend his lease by two years, sealing his union with the club which revealed it until June 2026.
“ I am relieved and very happy to be able to continue the adventure with Olympique de Marseille. My contract was coming to an end and I found myself in a delicate position. It is a great mark of confidence that the club has placed in me by extending my contract, I would like to thank the managers », rejoices the main person concerned in an interview broadcast on the official website of the Olympians.
The gesture of the Marseille leaders is reminiscent of that made in June 2018 when Rolando, victim of a ruptured Achilles heel during the last match of the season and at the end of his contract that summer, had been extended of a year to experience his convalescence peacefully.
