Paris beats Nice 3-1 and joins Rennes in the semi-final of the Coupe de France.

Paris Saint-Germain qualified for the semi-finals of the Coupe de France after a 3-1 victory against OGC Nice in a match full of twists and turns. The match got off to a flying start, with Paris largely dominating and creating several clear chances.

It was Kylian Mbappé who opened the scoring in the 14th minute, taking advantage of Thuram’s loss of the ball to score his seventh goal in the Coupe de France this season. Paris then continued to push, increasing its offensives, but without managing to double the lead despite several dangerous attempts.

But PSG was able to regain the upper hand thanks to a goal from Fabian Ruiz in the 33rd minute, capitalizing on an error by Nice goalkeeper Bulka. Despite Nice’s efforts to come back to the score, notably with attempts by Boga and Laborde, Paris managed to maintain its advantage until the end of the match.

PSG’s domination continued in the second half, with constant pressure on the Nice defense. However, Nice managed to be more enterprising, particularly in the first period thanks to a great offensive sequence from Boga which resulted in the Aiglons’ first goal scored by Laborde in the 40th minute. This goal gave Nice some momentum and started to cause problems for the Parisian defense.

The miracle of the evening came from the performance of Nice goalkeeper Bulka, who made several decisive saves, including an incredible goal on a Zaire-Emery strike in the 97th minute. But also by an interruption due to an injury to Bulka’s nose, but the Polish goalkeeper was finally able to return to his place after a short stoppage.

Despite a more balanced second half, PSG was able to maintain its advantage and qualify for the semi-finals of the Coupe de France. They will face Rennes for a place in the final on April 3, in a confrontation that promises to be exciting.
