Franco Mastantuono, young River Plate player, is of interest to very big players in Europe.

Last month it emerged that FC Barcelona were interested in River Plate youngster Franco Mastantuono, and as is often the case with such talents, Real Madrid are closely following him. The playmaker is the youngest player to play in the SuperClasico between Boca Juniors and River, and he recently became the youngest scorer in River’s history.

According to TNT Sports, as reported by Diario AS, Real Madrid are also interested in Mastantuono and are considering making an offer for him in 2025.

A €30M prodigy

That’s when he will be 18 and legally able to move to Europe, but as Los Blancos have shown with Endrick Felipe, they are not afraid to commit to young talent. In the meantime, they’re happy to let him continue to develop at River.

He currently has a contract until 2025, but River is reportedly working on a new contract for the prodigy. In addition to FC Barcelona, PSG and Manchester United are also in the running and his release clause currently stands at 30 million euros. He appears to be the latest talent to be signed after Manchester City completed deals for Julian Alvarez and Claudio Echeverri.
