In a duel between Champions League contenders, Tottenham made short work of Aston Villa (0-4).

Behind the infernal trio formed by Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal, there is another place to take for the next Champions League, which Aston Villa and Tottenham are competing for.

The two clubs were opposed this Sunday at Villa Park, and it was Spurs who struck a big blow by winning largely (0-4). The Londoners made the difference at the start of the second half, thanks to James Maddison (50th) and Brennan Johnson (53rd). And after the red card received by James McGinn, who cut Destiny Udogie out of frustration (65th), Tottenham hit the nail on the head in added time, through Son Heung-Min (90th+1) and Timo Werner (90th+4).

In the standings, Tottenham is two points behind Aston Villa (4th), but Spurs still have a game in hand to play.
