This Sunday a major shock in the race for 4th place synonymous with the Champions League took place in the Premier League. Thus, Aston Villa (4th, 55 points) hosted Tottenham (5th, 50 points) with the opportunity to widen the gap a little further with Spurs. The latter, who have one less match on the clock, could come back to two points and keep their destiny in hand. In the first period, the issue took precedence over the challenge and it was logical that the two teams returned to the locker room with a goalless draw. On the other hand, it accelerated in the second half. Following the injury to Micky van de Van (49th), Tottenham reacted ideally.

On the right, Pape Matar Sarr overflowed and delivered a nice ball in front of goal for James Maddison who was going to finish (49th). Just after, Dejan Kulusevski scratched a high ball and found Heung-min Son. The latter shifted to the left of the area by Brennan Johnson who was quick to finish (53rd). The situation deteriorated a little more for the Villans with the logical exclusion of John McGinn for a big foul on Destiny Udogie (65th). At the end of the match, Heung-min Son scored his goal on a nice serve from Dejan Kulusevski to drive home the point (90th +1) and he then turned into a passer for Timo Werner who joined the party (90th +1). 5). With this 4-0 victory, Tottenham are two points behind their opponent of the day with a game in hand.
