Ligue 1: PSG must settle for a draw against Reims

After its great victory against Real Sociedad in the middle of the week (2-1), sealing its passage into the quarterfinals of the Champions League, PSG returned to Ligue 1 with the reception of Reims. A match which could allow the Parisians to widen the gap with Brest, since the Bretons, runners-up to PSG, lost 1-0 in Lens yesterday. For this duel, Luis Enrique notably decided to put Kylian Mbappé on the bench, entrusting the keys to the attack to the Lee-Ramos-Barcola trio. Zaire-Emery was accompanied by Ugarte and Soler in midfield. And the match got off to a bad start for the Parisians, since after only seven minutes of play, Marshall Munesti put the Rémois in front. Achraf Hakimi lost the ball in his area against Oumar Diakité. The latter served Munetsi behind, who did not hesitate to shoot a helpless Navas (0-1, 7th). A bit of a cold spell at the Parc des Princes, even if the Parisians would quickly return.

On a corner kicked on the right side by Lee, Yunis Abdelhamid, pressed by Gonçalo Ramos, accidentally sent the ball into the back of his net (1-1, 17th). In the process, the Portuguese striker opened his goal counter. Well positioned as a fox on a cross poorly cleared by the Reims defense, he concluded marvelously, despite being surrounded by several opposite players (2-1, 19th). Behind, PSG dominated, but were again going to be picked up cold, just before the break this time. Emmanuel Agbadou offered a real caviar to Oumar Diakité, who left behind the Parisian defense. With a good flat foot, he went to beat Navas (2-2, 45th). At the start of the second period, PSG struggled, and Mohamed Daramy created some scares for the Parisians. Luis Enrique brought in Dembélé and Mbappé in the 73rd minute to give his team new momentum. The two men were close to making the difference, like this shot from Bondynois which passed right next to the top corner (84th). But the score has no longer changed, and PSG still takes a small point from Brest, and there are now 10 units separating the two clubs. For its part, Reims remains ninth.
