Paris Saint-Germain is preparing an ambitious offer of 200 million euros for Lamine Yamal, the young FC Barcelona player, to replace Kylian Mbappé.
The Ligue 1 giants are looking to replace Kylian Mbappé, who is expected to join Real Madrid this summer. According to Marca, PSG are preparing a massive offer of 200 million euros for Lamine Yamal, the 16-year-old FC Barcelona wonder.
FC Barcelona are reportedly aware of the French club’s interest in their star player and their agent Jorge Mendes recently met with club president Joan Laporta to officially inform him of the offer. Despite its financial crisis, FC Barcelona has no intention of parting with its young player, just one year after promoting him to the A team. The 16-year-old has had a prosperous period in terms of results and performance. The young prodigy had a 2023/24 season full of twists and turns as he took part in 37 matches in all competitions, where he scored four times and provided six assists.
A fortune for a 16 year old player
Yamal has scored four goals in La Liga since the start of the season, twice as many as any other player of the same age in La Liga history. The striker won’t turn 17 until July.
For now, Xavi’s side will look to secure a place in the Champions League quarter-finals as they prepare to face Napoli in the second leg of their last-16 tie on Tuesday.
