The Real Madrid coach considers that his Brazilian winger is too easily criticized. He calls for a change of attitude towards him.

Last Wednesday, during the Champions League round of 16 second leg between Real Madrid and Leipzig (1-1), Vinicius could have been sent off following a big foul on Willi Orban.

The Brazilian international, after a first foul which led his opponent to the ground, violently pushed him by the neck when he got up. Following this unsporting gesture, for which the referee only sent the Madrid winger a yellow card, the controversy continued.

Exaggerated controversy?

According to Carlo Ancelotti, this is disproportionate.“I haven’t found a player criticized as much as him. He is kicked, he is whistled at, he is insulted. What is he supposed to do ? He scores goals and gives assists. Everyone should change their attitude towards Vinicius”estimated the Italian technician at a press conference.

“It has never happened that a very talented player has suffered such things. In Vallecas he received a karate blow to the head and there was no yellow card and now they are asking for a red card for a stroller against a Leipzig player”continues the former PSG coach, at a press conference, on the eve of the La Liga match against Celta Vigo.
